Biography

Janez Bernik (6 September 1933 – 15 July 2016) was a multiple-time awarded and internationally acclaimed Slovenian painter and academic. Bernik was a versatile artist, who reached excellent results in painting, sculpture, graphic design, illustration, tapestry, book design, and poetry. His graphic prints are kept in numerous worldwide-known galleries and collections.

Burri’s arrangement with the National Committee for Fine Arts in Rome, and especially good relations with gallery owner and painter Mario Penelope, concluded in receiving Buri’s painting. Onward communication with the artist was continued via mail.

Biography

Alberto Burri (12 March 1915 – 13 February 1995) was an Italian visual artist, painter, sculptor, and physician based in Città di Castello. He is associated with the matterism of the European informal art movement and described his style as a polymaterialist. He had connections with Lucio Fontana’s spatialism and, with Antoni Tàpies, an influence on the revival of the art of post-war assembly in America (Robert Rauschenberg) as in Europe.

Biography

Radomir Damnjanović Damnjan (Serbian Cyrillic: Радомир Дамњановић Дамњан, Mostar, 10 December 1935) is a Serbian painter and conceptual artist. He lives and works in Milan and Belgrade. (…) Damnjan deals with painting, drawing, graphics, photography, film, video and performance. During the sixties, early in his career, Damnjan the painter symbolic, abstract and minimal features. Since the seventies he used to the new media – video, photography and performance, while the painting closer to its analytical stream. At the turn of the ninth decade of the last century, the theme turns Damnjan ‘still life’ and ‘(self)portraits’ which implements a floor or wall installations painted in the spirit of postmodern citation as ‘new pointillism’.
